The Sugar Rush family - Sugar Rush Peach, Sugar Rush Stripey, Sugar Rush Cream, and others - represents some of the most distinctive recent additions to the baccatum chilli world, with Fowler's breeding program prioritising flavour complexity and visual distinctiveness alongside reasonable heat levels.

The Stripey variety is named for its unmistakable visual signature: pale cream and peachy-red longitudinal stripes running along the elongated pods. The striped colouration is genuinely uncommon in chilli cultivars and gives Sugar Rush Stripey strong ornamental appeal alongside its culinary value.
